About this Gallery
This gallery is for Matt Wain’s award-winning images led by the cool colours – greens, blues and purples and range from bright to soft - vivid to pastel. They can feel fresh, crisp and refreshing or peaceful, composed and calm. Matt's images are collected internationally; from one-off commissions by individuals to art design projects with art consulting firms and interior designers. Awards have seen Matt's pieces exhibited in Paris and London and include recognition from Getty Images, the IPA Lucie Awards, the PX3 Prix de la Photographie Paris and The International Color Awards Masters Cup. Award-winning images of nature - custom printed any size
Wall art for the home or garden - images of nature
Art for offices and hospitality - art for design projects
Featured Artwork - Matt keeps close to nature and keeps his art natural and this comes across in this beautiful image.
For us, this is an image of contrasts. Crisp, fresh pine greens and soft, calm silvers from fir work together to bring a fresh, lively spirit coupled with a feeling of serenity. We’d print it as a large wall art acrylic picture, where the light can pass though it to the wall behind. Matt would have it cropped into a custom-made panoramic glass kitchen splashback.
We both agree it would be both restful and uplifting –
a great piece of art to live with every day.
Featured Artwork - Bold and brilliant, this refreshing image in blues and whites captures the moment the wave breaks. Plumes of spray meet the dappled patterns of the sea foam in a bold juxtaposition of vibrancy and tranquillity. Matt creates the images in camera; often shooting hundreds of images before capturing a magical moment like this one.
We find this works well as large scale wall art on acrylic or directly printed on glass as a splashback for the kitchen or art for the bathroom.
Featured Artwork - Working only with natural sunlight, Matt never constructs an image using a computer – that’s the polar opposite of his intent – to capture nature’s beauty in abstract form, to help us reconnect with nature. Matt invites us to consider what this image means for us. The fragile beauty of this purple flower image, with its soft, intricate textures, and the sun shining through fills us with joy and peace. It is testament to Matt’s skill, judgement and creative flair. The giclée print process we use was made for images like this, with the museum-quality materials and printers we use producing stunning quality prints with true depth of colour and tonal range. We feel it would look amazing printed on Hahnemühle Photo Rag® cotton paper and framed between aluminium and super-clear acrylic as a contemporary twist on a traditional framed print.
